What is a file manager

A file manager is a system with which you can manage your files such as images or documents such as Word, PDF, Excel, etc. A file manager knows a folder structure that you are used to on your PC or Mac computer. The file manager of Sofco CMS makes it easier for you to place your files online and use them within your website. Even if you manage your website via your smartphone, you can select and process the same files in your file manager that you also have on your desktop computer.

Drag & drop function

The file manager has a drag & drop function which means that you can drag your files and / or folders directly from your computer into the file manager. The files and folders are then automatically uploaded and maintain the same names and structure as stored on your desktop.

Edit images

The file manager also offers an image editing function that allows you to edit your images online. You can do this by clicking on an image in the file manager with your right mouse button and then clicking on "Edit". Images that you edit are then immediately saved with the edits you have done. We therefore recommend that you always place a copy of the file in the file manager beforehand and edit it so that the original is preserved.
